Type of Scam (Vishing)
Vishing, short for voice phishing, is one of the most deceptive tricks cybercriminals use today. It’s when attackers call you on the phone—sometimes using convincing technology—and try to pressure you into giving away sensitive information like passwords, bank details, or even those quick codes you get for multi-factor authentication.
With today’s tools, vishing has become even more dangerous—some attackers use AI-powered deepfake voice cloning to sound exactly like a boss, coworker, or executive, making the scam feel incredibly real.
